Quantitative Phantoms.
Open MRI.

We want to build something unique for researchers, scientists and clinical users. Our MRI phantom builds are fully open source, to support the community and ensure open access to quantitative MRI.

Our aim is to provide phantoms, their blueprints, and a space via our community forum for users to share data, software and protocols. We’re currently working on a number of projects launching by Spring 2026, so get in touch.

01

GeoMatrix Large Phantom

Geometric distortion matters in applications such as radiotherapy and whole-body diffusion MRI. Our phantom provides distances for distortion assessment across a large field of view, with NIST-traceable distances provided via a unique grid structure within each target plate

02

GeoMatrix Head Phantom

Our unique head phantom is assembled from acrylic plates with a fluid-filled grid structure.  Realistic air pockets are achieved via two-sided CNC milling of each slab.

The head phantom is built on an extension from the MNI atlas, so every grid point can be traced back to a reference location in the head.

Ground truth distances are provided with NIST tractability, and extend to within 5 mm of boundaries giving whole-head coverage.

MamoSphere

Assessment of fat saturation in MRI is critical for breast QA. MammoSphere allows rapid assessment of fat saturation on the scanner, or detailed assessment online. The phantom is built to mimic the tissue T1, T2 and the fat volume profile of the breast.

04

AxisCheck

This phantom is for developers and clinical users. Where applications demand end-to-end testing of geometric orientation, we provide an easy solution where for every slice, position and orientation can be verified in all three axis.

FatFraction Pro

Significant progress has been made in assessment of fat fraction, driven by clinical demand in liver imaging.

We provide high-quality PDFF phantoms for qMRI using published, peer-reviewed methods from the academic literature.
